After a lifetime of being a nerd, and years of doing cosplay, I finally joined the SCA in 2021. I had a variety of friends who were involved, but for whatever reason I resisted the urge to participate. Until I didn't. Once I crossed the threshold, I jumped right into the deep end and started making all the things.
I specialize in leatherwork, but I also do a fair bit of sewing, embroidery, and whatever else comes my way. I just love making beautiful things, so the SCA is perfect.
When I joined, I lived in the suburbs of Philadelphia, so Bhakail was my barony. I'm now splitting my time between Philly and northern Sweden, so my new home is the Shire of Reengarda. One can't help but feel a little medieval surrounded by trees, lakes, and the land of the vikings.
